George Clooney and Matt Damon on location

FROM today's Daily Mail

Fancy seeing you here! George Clooney and Matt Damon brings English country village to a standstill as they shoot new film

Locals in a Buckinghamshire village were left stunned on Thursday after they spotted
Hollywood A-listers George Clooney and Matt Damon shooting their new movie.
The actors, who have worked together several times, were filming upcoming period drama
Monuments Men
alongside The Artist actor Jean Dujardian.
Dressed in period clothing, Matt and Jean were seen riding on a horse and trap through
 the pretty country village.

However, the villagers weren't exactly hiding in their houses and were drawn to the streets to
see the Hollywood big shots filming on their doorstep.
As Matt and Jean - who won the Best Actor Oscar for the silent film The Artist in 2011 -
went through
their lines, they were given direction by George.
The film is co-written, producer and directed by Clooney, with the script based on the book
The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in
History by Robert M. Edsel.

Set during World War II, it tells the story of an Allied group who were responsibly for saving
pieces of art and other significant cultural items from the Nazis during World War II.
Matt takes on the role as the late James Rorimer, who was the director for the Metropolitan
Museum Of Art in New York.
In 1943, he put his Met career on hold to sign up as a infantryman in the United States Army,
but soon found his art skills being utilised during the war when he headed up the
Monuments,
 Fine Arts, and Archives program.
